"L'oro Frantoio F.lli Mosci": a treasure chest of scents and flavors

In the 1980, in the centre of San Marcello, there was an old mill, which over time, trough the passion and the vitality of two brothers Amato e Maurizio Mosci became a modern and technologically advanced oil mill, which today is situated close to other agricultural activities in Montelatiere.

Mosci brothers owners of the mill say that “From our lands, among wonderful hills and secular olive trees, the olives are harvested by hand and they are processed in cold within 24 hours, in order to obtain an oil of  high quality and unique characteristics, which has all the organoleptic features that an extra-virgin olive oil should have: straw green colour, fruity flavour with hints of almond and fresh artichoke, olive fragrance, low oleic acidity and high number of polyphenols.
Our extra-virgin olive oil is extracted only with traditional physical and mechanical processes, a method which has a wealth of incredible and timeless experiences, that we help them by passing no more of 12 hours from harvesting to milling.

We use only Pieralisi machines, that they are the guarantee of an accurate and highly qualitative process to their high technological performance, where the olives are subjected to mechanical actions creating breaks into the cells and into the membranes with the result the extraction of olive oil."

F.lli Mosci was one of the first of mills in the Marche to adopt the innovative series of Leopard extractor centrifugal.

“The Leopard 6, that we have just bought - say Mosci brothers - will allow us to increase production up to 35 tons per hour, with the same quality. The care we put into every step of production with the best technologies of Pieralisi Group, is the secret that makes our extra-virgin olive oil an excellent and unique product. 

Currently, we are also focusing on the production of kernel to heat. For this activity we have a Pieralisi plant whereby we hope this year to triple the yield, even with the pomace from other oil mills in our area.”

Projects and purposes for the future don’t finish.

“The characteristic mill where we started our business - Mosci brothers tell - will be transformed, by the City of San Marcello, in Oil Museum where will be possible to admire the first mill which was installed by Pieralisi, the first mill with two stone presses and other historical tools of our trade.”

The oil that is product by Mosci is made only with home-bred olives, it has got in the last years national and international fame with awards, prizes and special mentions, excelling for several consecutive years in the prestigious competition “L’Oro delle Marche”.    

Furthermore, the products of Oleificio F.lli MOsci, are characterized by the 100% Italian Quality and CSQA Certified Traceability: sending an SMS with the code printed on each bottle is possible to verify the origin of the olives.
