The OLIVE PRESS: the award-winning olive oil from California

The Olive Press was the very first olive mill in Sonoma, California. The Olive Press, was born in the 1998 and is now known as the most highly awarded olive oil producer in the nation.

Chris Gilmore, Product Manager, say: “We are committed to producing the highest quality of olive oil along with an array of handmade artisanal products while serving the pressing needs of the community. This target with others several factors: excellent fruit, timely delivery to the mill, close attention to detail during processing and the utilization of our new Pieralisi system which has shown its ability to produce world class extra virgin olive oil.”

The Olive Press, in fact is producing our award-winning house made olive oil, crushing olives for local wineries and estates, or accepting olives from small growers in the community, with a consistent mission: exceptional quality in all aspects of production.

“We are running an efficient business - continues Chris Gilmore -which promotes the growing of quality fruit, the quality care of that fruit, the quality harvest, the milling, the racking, the storing, the bottling, the education, and the eventual presentation and selling of this beautiful oil.”

In the 2013 Fred and Nancy Cline purchased The Olive Press, at the behest of their dear friend Ed Stolman. He knew that the tradition of integrity, quality, and attention to detail would be carried on by the Clines, who have had  30 years of experience with Cline Cellars Winery as well as Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. In the same year The Olive Press mill was equipped with a Pieralisi plant, consisting of the Optima Washing Machine, KneadingMOLINOVA TG 700 lts, centrifugal extractor SPI111 and Bravo separator, which has demonstrated its ability to produce extra virgin olive oil olive world class!

This system meets two main objectives with incredible consistency: maximization of extraction which is important to the client and quality assurance that is our main objective as a miller.  “We have always been very happy with the level of expertise that Pieralisi technicians bring with them to California each season - confirmed Chris Gilmore - and we are very pleased to have the system that we do and know that we will be making California’s best extra virgin olive oil for years to come!
