AGRARIA RIVA DEL GARDA. THE AGRICOLTURE FOR EVERYONE

Agraria Riva del Garda was born in 1926, founded by some families of the Garda region that share the passion for high quality and innovation in harvesting methods. Today there are about 300 members and the goal is to promote and support agriculture in Alto Garda, particularly by proposing high standards and unique products.

Surrounded by the breeze of Garda Lake, that mitigates the harsh alpine climate, this area is well suitable for olives growing and has been defined the northernmost olive-growing area in the world. The particular microclimate, in fact, typical of a Mediterranean oasis transplanted in the Dolomites, allows for the production of valuable extra virgin olive oils with unique characteristics that have achieved the most prestigious awards. The members of the cooperative, in order to increase the popularity of the local production of Trentino wines and extra virgin olive oil of Garda Trentino, have created a rural store able to meet the needs of the most demanding costumers.

The mill of the Agraria Riva del Garda, built in 1965,is now an innovative and high-tech plant, constantly upgraded with the latest innovations and newest features. In 1998, it was the first mill to produce the DOP Garda Trentino extra virgin oil, and since 2009 it is certified for organic production.
Furthermore, the mill accounts for 65% of Garda Trentino olive oil production: every year, 6000 - 8500 quintals of olives are processed, and the cooperative controls 85,000 olive trees on the 270 total hectares.

Furthermore, Pieralisi also means optimal functionality, thanks to the multiple tests carried out before putting a machine into service on the field. Finally, I have to say that I always receive the right compromise between hourly production and quality of the process.”
