LA MAGNANERIE. OLIVE OIL FROM THE SOUTH OF FRANCE

In a small village in the south of France, 60 km from Avignon, there is a mill that has been handed down from father to son for four generations.

The philosophy that guides the company follows the theory that there is no great oil without an excellent "terroir" or a noble variety of the same. And this is what we want to pass on for generations, innovating without neglecting our origins. Martin family, owner of the "La Magnanerie", takes care of their olive trees all year round. From pruning, to the maintenance of the plots, passing through the working of the land, harvesting and processing.

"For us - says Eric Martin, owner of the mill - the quality of the raw material is essential because we haven’t little chance of correction during processing”.

The olive grove covers 25 hectares (8,000 trees) with about ten different varieties oriented to the production of green fruity olive oils (early harvesting). The farm is run in organic farming certified by Veritas; a very demanding technical choice that requires modesty and observation because nature often has the last word.
"La Magnanerie" is in fact very attentive to agroforestry or agroecology, to the notion of fertility rather than fertilization, to the recycling of agricultural materials and to the preservation of landscapes.
"My goal is to do a high quality craftwork, in the spirit of French excellence - continues Mr. Martin - we only work with the olives of the estate, no external purchase of olives or oil is made. The raw material is processed continuously (without storage), thanks to the Pieralisi machines, which are fundamental for us, and then filtered. The entire harvest is then marketed throughout the year to merchants of wine, gastronomy and gourmet restaurants in France and abroad.

As mentioned earlier, the mill is equipped with a Pieralisi continuous line that guarantees full control and independence of the entire production cycle. This allows "La Magnanerie" to decide the optimal harvesting dates for each variety, the processing parameters and to extract the best from each individual olive, but above all to create assemblages or monovarities that reflect the level of requirements of the mill. This work requires a great deal of rigour and precision.

Pieralisi is very satisfied to be able to guarantee the entire production cycle of olive oil to an oil mill that continues to produce excellent oils and to be award-winning throughout the world.
