Redoro: passion for extra virgin olive oil since 1895

Quality, genuineness, and passion in each small gesture, from the cultivation of olives, to the collection by hand, until the processing into extra virgin olive oil. These are the values transmitted from father to son in over 100 years activity of Redoro Frantoi Veneti.

Redoro Frantoi Veneti has its main premises in Grezzana (VR), among Valpantena hills north of Verona and cultivates most of the surrounding olive trees since 1985. Found in 1895 by RE_gina and isi_DORO, from which the original name REDORO comes from, the company is guided by the chairman Cav. Mario Salvagno and sons Daniele, who is in charge of marketing and sales, and Lorenzo, the production manager, assisted by the sisters Paola and Valeria responsible, respectively, of administration and education sector.

Redoro chose the innovative Pieralisi technologies to obtain an oil of excellent quality; two are the P.D.O. obtained from its special oils: one for its Veneto Valpolicella extravirgin olive oil and one for the Garda oil. Moreover the company is the first in Veneto to obtain the AIAB certification, which guarantees the cultivation of products from biological agriculture.
Innovation environmentally friendly

Redoro Frantoi Veneti has recently completed the modernization of its production facilities, combining production necessities, quality of the product and environmental sustainability. The new and innovative plant, a Pieralisi Molinova Serie Oro, installed in the historic location of Grezzana, is able to process 35 tons of olives per hour.

The project included advanced non-polluting recovery systems: the current facility, e.g., has been combined with a photovoltaic roof panels that generate all the energy needed to process olives into oil. In addition, the storage room that houses the precious oil produced is maintained at a constant temperature of 15/18°, thanks to an innovative system that uses the thermal energy produced by burning the olive stones. In this way the waste is reused to produce clean energy, helping to create the perfect balance where the materials are regenerated giving life to final product and energy.

An oil environmentally sustainable means for Redoro Frantoi Veneti a zero kilometres production, with olives acquired in an area that counts more than 600 growers in the region of Grezzana and Mezzane, 300 in the Lake of Garda, without considering the property olive grove with 5000 trees. The attention for the environment also concerns the fertilization of olive groves, that is made with cow manure, a fertilizer that is environmentally friendly and cheap.

Attachment to the territory

Redoro’s passion for its work is also manifested in the several education and awareness initiatives addressed to school, families and territory, such as the Field of Children (http://www.ilcampodeibimbi.it), where the little participants are given the opportunity to adopt an olive tree, to follow the growth and to appreciate the oil extracted from the olives of that tree, keeping for himself what produced; the Academy of Extra Virgin Olive Oil of Veneto, created to promote the oils of the territory; the festival called Primeolive characterised by the meeting among producers, the world of press and the local administrations; Olive tells, a competition for primary schools and kindergartens in Verona and province.
